This location is top notch. They have a long line you wait in, which is totally worth it for the array of picnic tables all over with a gorgeous view of the water. The lobster roll was delicious and plentiful, their soup was amazing. I definitely recommend as this is not stationed in a busy area but at the end of a long road that you would never expect to be there. It's definitely a gem!

The ambiance is 10/10 overlooking the cliffs and the water. We had two lobster rolls which were very good, but I didn't like the dollop of mayo. Either omit it or mix the lobster in it already. Lobster was very fresh. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating

Not an exaggeration when I say this might be the most spectacular casual dining setting I've ever experienced. And here's the kicker: You're eating in a parking lot! But not just any parking lot--this one is perched on the edge of a cliff with jaw-dropping views of the ocean and two lighthouses. Yes, two! Even if the food were mediocre (spoiler: it's not), this spot is worth the trip just for the scenery. We hit this gem on a weekday in the fall, which was basically New England weather perfection. It was a little windy, but still warm enough to eat outside--in October--in Maine. The inside was packed, and since we were a party of six, I wasn't looking forward to the battle for seating. But no worries! There were plenty of picnic tables outside. Just watch out for the seagulls--they see you coming, and they know the food is just as good as you do. They're ready to pounce on your fried clams if you let your guard down. I went for the fried clam roll, and we shared some onion rings on the side. And let me tell you, the coleslaw with the little bit of apple? Perfect "healthy" touch to convince myself I was being balanced. Overall, spectacular view, solid food, and one of the best parking lot dining experiences you'll ever have!

Visiting The Lobster Shack was a childhood tradition for me but it has always been a great time when visiting as an adult. We often like to come a little early to climb around on the rocks and listen to the ocean waves. It's a great place to relax or let the kids explore. After, we make our way over and ordered a couple of lobster boats which were lobster rolls (topped with mayo and a pickle) and fries. The food came out quickly and was tasty! They have a large outdoor seating area were you can eat and look out at the ocean. We came at a slightly off time so the line was short. During peak seasons, likely expect harder parking and longer ordering lines!

Favorite restaurant in the US hands down. Beautiful connection bewtween to go restaurant and nature. Each time i visit my family and I hang out on the rocks overlooking the ocean until our food is ready-in which we enjoy at the picnic tables. Great sunset spot in the area!

This is a spot where the atmosphere really fills in the gaps. The food itself is good, but not amazing. For the price, I expected a bit more in terms of quantity. The lobster roll, fries, and coleslaw are $30; the size is okay for an average lunch, but you will likely be a little hungry afterward. In terms of quality, I'd say this is as good as any other lobster roll. The fries are crispy and well-seasoned, but I wish there were more of them. The real gem of this place is that it's right on the water with ample picnic-style seating, and right next to a wonderful park. Worth dining here if you are in the area checking out the scenery. Value: 3/5 Quality: 4/5 Quantity: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5

I love seafood, but not lobster (my family wants to disown me, i think). They are many options here that are not lobster. The clam chowder and fisherman plate were amazing and filling. I love scallops and shrimp especially and clam chowder. The fried clams and haddock were also very good. I have already recommended this place to someone heading to the area soon.

The lobster shack gives off tourist vibes for sure. It's pricey (as is everything in Maine), but you're paying for the atmosphere. Having lunch on a picnic table by the ocean is unbeatable. The views are spectacular and the rocks are truly awesome to look at. Hearing waves crash as you dig in to a lobster is pretty enjoyable. I strongly and highly recommend their desserts. Their whoopie pie literally to die-for and their rhubarb strawberry pie was heaven. I will definitely come back over and over again to enjoy some fresh seafood and delicious desserts with a view!
